Dell is thought to end its bidding war against Hewlett Packard (HP) for data storage company 3PAR, because of the increased price tag.
A survey carried out my analysts from Reuters showed that many believe Dell will give up its offer for 3PAR because it will struggle to exceed HP’s offer of US$2bn.
Dell has until tomorrow to match the price and said yesterday that it was still evaluating the situation before it made its final decision on whether to proceed with a bigger bid.
