Yesterday ACQ Magazine reported that Canadian Energy Minister Bill Boyd was worried about a Chinese company taking over Potash Corp. Today it has been revealed that Potash Corp is angry at BHP Billiton’s behaviour over the deal.
BHP Billiton, the company trying to buy out Potash Corp, was criticised in a letter written by Stephen Dowdle, Potash Corp’s Commercial Director.
In the letter, Mr Dowdle claims Chris Ryder, Director of Potash Marketing, had been cold calling customers, behaviour Mr Dowdle labels as ‘inappropriate and highly unethical’.
Potash Corp also said that BHP Billiton was attempting to ‘sow seeds of doubt’ about the company’s ability to conduct business.
